Time Matters Version 10 New Features
The following are new and enhanced features in
version 10.0.
Time Matters Desktop Extensions: add-ons
that let you access Time Matters data and features through a
simplified interface.
Database powered by Microsoft SQL:
all Time Matters installations now use a SQL database for enhanced
performance, improved search speed, and better scalability.
New backup functionality: run backups from the command
line, or set up automated backups using the Windows scheduler.
New Comprehensive Power View: shows all the information
about a case in one easily accessible place.
Enhanced TM
Connect functionality: you can complete additional fields when using
the “batch create” feature to create multiple Time Matters records
from Outlook emails.
Enhanced merge templates: simplified
organization, with support for sub-folders.
Enhanced
compression technology: now uses Chilkat instead of Dynazip, allowing
for files of unlimited number and size within a .zip and removing the
2GB total file size limitation; this affects backup and restore, data
import, remote synchronization, Time Matters utilities, and other
functions.
Note on Enhanced Power Views:
The benefits of using the
SQL Server platform have been used to make enhancements to the Power
View architecture. Those enhancements provide the Comprehensive Power
Views that are a new feature of this release, as well as adding speed
to the overall retrieval of records for display in the Power View.

ATTENTION TIME MATTERS v7 and earlier customers:
Effective October 31, 2009, Time Matters
will no longer support versions of Time Matters v7 and below. Upgrade now
to take advantage of the new features in the latest version. Please
